Picnic in February

Today I had a lot of fun with my little boys. Hunter decided that he wanted to have a picnic. Well, it's not exactly balmy outside, in fact, it snowed yesterday (but it didn't stick). It had warmed up considerably, and the deck seemed dry enough, so we laid out a table cloth for the picnic. Hunter excitedly ran to the basement (I had no idea why), and came up looking so proud with his trick or treating pumpkin to be used as a picnic basket. Connor didn't want to be out done, so he found his teal HRES lunch bag and brought it into the kitchen. I made the boys a lunch of pb&j, sliced apples, fruit snacks, and sippy cups of oj. They were set. They headed out with no jackets or shoes. Hunter immediately stepped in a tiny spot of water and decided since his socks were wet, that they had to come inside. He walked into the kitchen and pointed to the floor and said, "this looks like a nice spot." It was so cute. I decided that we'd sit in the LR on the carpet, so they gathered up their lunches and we spread the table cloth on the LR carpet and had our little picnic. The boys loved it!
